BIOGRAPHY:
Ajachmed was born just Achmed, into a simple family of nomadic herders in the nation known today as Libya. Achmed was orphaned by war between Caliphates in which his family was slaughtered at an origin by rampaging warriors of the Asida caliphate. During the massacre, Achmed took shelter inside of a camel carcass, gutting the camel and crawling inside.
Upon emerging several hours later, he found his entire family dead around him. As Achmed looked at the wholesale devastation surrounding him, he heard hoof beats in the distance. He picked up a sword and decided he would join his family that day in Paradise instead of cowering in fear again.
But, much to Achmed's surprise it was not the warriors of the Asida caliphate, but the warriors of the Alabi caliphate, the caliphate to which his family had been loyal. He dropped his sword and begged the leader of the Alabi warriors to allow him to join with them in the fight against the Asida. The leader, Amani Al-Komahni, laughed heartily, and then told Achmed that if he wished to join the ranks of the warriors, he would have to go to Cairo where he would be put in a training program for warriors. Anxious to avenge his family's deaths, he quickly agreed and set out toward Cairo.
After several weeks of travel, he arrived in Cairo and entered the Academy of Alabi Jihadic Shi'a Al' Haqium (roughly translated Academy of The Alabi Caliphate for the Holy War(rior) of Haqium). Unbeknownst to Achmed, the academy was used as a recruiting ground for the Assamite Clan. During his four years at the academy, he experienced a great deal of difficulty in dealing with an Imam Ali Abad. He sought out the Imam privately to ask some questions concerning the day's lecture. The Imam had intentionally made Achmed look like a fool to see his reaction; to his surprise, the young student sought him out rather than just becoming withdrawn as most others had. Achmed had passed his final test of worthiness by seeking out the truth, and, Ali, with the approval of the Academy's Headmaster, embraced Achmed and renamed him Ajachmed Gabril.
Ajachmed proceeded to work his seven years as a mustajib, and after the seven years were up, proceeded into the study of an fadais. After successful induction into the Clan at Alamut, Ajachmed was sent to go to Southern Europe to help establish a greater Assamite presence in Iberia. While attacking a small band of Christians, he encountered a non-Assamite Kindred for the first time, a Brujah. The two proceeded to exterminate each other's companions, and thus being accomplished, to proceed to extermination of the other Kindred. Ajachmed successfully killed the Brujah with a well aimed stroke of his blade which paralyzed the Brujah momentarily. Ajachmed seized the opportunity and proceeded to drain the Brujah's vitae. Thusly, he raised from 11th gen to 9th - the Brujah had been a 7th gen who had not fed recently.
With his good luck and skill, Ajachmed proceeded to make a name for himself in Assamite society, and he eventually joined the Black Hand. He fought in the most vicious combat of the Crusades, fought every Christian invasion of Moorish territory, and, when the Camarillia turned to war against the Assamites, he fought yet again. Ajachmed fought to the bitter end of the conflict, and when the Convention or Treaty of Thorns was signed, he refused to submit himself to the humiliating Tremere ritual. He viewed the act of surrender as near treason, an act of a few cowards who dared not risk their own unlives.
He has rarely returned to Alamut, and he avoids any unnecessary contact with Assamite elders. However, due to his line of work as a Black Hand Member, he has often had to work with other Assamites. As time progressed, he earned a high status within the Hand itself, and now acts as a field agent for the Hand, evaluating loyalty and scouting opportunities for Sabbat invasion. He spent the late 19th Century to the mid-20th Century in torpor, after a sever bout with an elder Malkavian, which he *won*, but not without great damage to himself- he did however, raise to 8th gen via his victory.
Ajachmed was recently contacted by the Castellan of the Western U.S. region for an urgent contract. The assignment completed, he now awaits further word....
