Starling began life as Melissa Starling. Even as a child, she had a curious streak that always got her into trouble. In high school, she was editor for the school paper, and wrote exposes that rocked the administration and school board. Despite her reputation for being a troublemaker, she managed to talk her way into Harvard and grdauated with honors. After that life became a game to her...who's life can she ruin with a story this time? Her attitude and style made her one of the most feared and respected reporters on the D.C. streets.
It was in D.C. that her life changed forever however. At a presidential inaguration gala, she met a charming gentleman, and was intrigued. It was her curious streak that got her into trouble again. She was quite taken with this gentleman, and he seemed to share her feelings. She left the gala with him that night, and he explained to her who he was and that he wanted her to join him for all eternity. Though a little shaken by his news that he was Kindred, she was intrigued by the promises of power and fame that he made to her, and she agreed and was Embraced that night.
That was about 10 years ago...her sire has long since found someone new to be intrigued with leaving her on her own. Her computer knowledge and talent as a reporter has kept her safe this long...well, that and her devoted bodyguard, Chris, who has followed her from D.C. to Pittsburgh, and now to San Fransisco. What will happen next? Who knows?
