BIOGRAPHY:
Raney and Wyndi were born in 1976 to a couple who were still embracing the 60's Flower Power. They are the youngest of six children. The other four children completely rejected their parents' sense of values. The twins also tried but find more of their parents in them than either would care to admit. They are exceptionally bright people having graduated from high school at the age of 16. They attended UCBerkley School of Business and graduated this past June with Masters degrees in business and finance.
Raney and Wyndi have worked at Luna Industries for the past three years. They started as interns. Upon graduating, they moved into the Junior Executive training program. Raney is in Mergers and Acquisitions, Wyndi with Public Relations.
Their parents moved to a co-op in Brandon, FL outside of Tampa, and operate a small organic health food store there. However, their parents are well off financially. It seems a few years back the son of some old friends came by to visit and asked to borrow money to start a software business. They lent him the money and now own over 5000 shares of Microsoft.
On Dec 26th, the twins were working late at Luna Industries (their usual habit) when the they discovered a bomb about to go off. Having no time to call the police, Wyndi did her best to clear the building of personnel while Raney scrambled to save personal and sensitive business files. Both were quite successful in their attempts. Wyndi escaped with only minor injuries and Raney suffered a few broken ribs. Their efforts did not go unnoticed by Julian Luna. He was very grateful to the two and as part of his gratitude they were invited to attend his daughter's New Year's Eve Ball as his guests.
NOW FOR THE INTERESTING STUFF....
There is more to the twins than meets the eye. They belong to an ancient organization, the Arcanum. The Arcanum is a group of scholars dedicated to the study of the supernatural. They are aware of the existence of vampires or "Kindred" as they call themselves. However, their job is to merely observe and study, at a distance, without getting directly involved with the inner workings of the Camarilla. There has been rare instances where the Arcanum and individual kindred have seen fit to work together for brief periods of time.
Unbeknownst to the twins until a few years ago, their mother was a member of the Arcanum. She studied the Kindred of San Francisco during her days in Haight Ashbury. In addition to being highly intelligent, the twins each possess one other extraordinary ability; they can sense Kindred. Raney's ability manifests itself in the touching of a kindred. Wyndi's is by an acute sense of hearing that allows her to "hear" the lack of a heartbeat in Kindred.
The twins were contacted by the Arcanum when they started at Luna Industries and their mother encouraged them to join. The twins don't even know that strings were pulled to get them the jobs at Luna. Their mother is currently inactive within the Arcanum.
